about

Written during our 48 hour lock-in, "Stare" marks the first time we've written and recorded a song before playing it live. Drawing on 90s alternative and grunge influences, this new tune shows a different side of Stormy Chromer - one that we hope you can bang your head and sing at the top of your lungs to.

lyrics

I'm complicated by the way I feel inside, the things I cannot hide.
I'm captivated by the rise and falling tide, the current of the mind.
You, fast and deep asleep, breathing heavily, the lies you choose to keep.
You are unaffected by the current of my mind, you're barely keeping time.
We took all of the me, stirred it in with leaves to see what it could be.
We will pay a greater fee than if we could have seen how the time would change our needs.

So what's the policy? I wonder if you really know.
Could you be more arrogant? Now that we've met at a new low.

They, with everything they'll say (will never be enough), for all the debts we've paid (circles back around), keep leading me astray.
It's (got it figured out) champing at the bit (but there's a long way left to go), hoping to get fixed (still a long way left to go), but we lost the book for it.

So what's the policy? I wonder if you really know.
You're breaking through to me, reaching up from far below.
Could you be more arrogant? This time it's not inside your head.
You were right in front of me, now I just see this wall instead.
